Jen Smith

Jennifer Smith

Jennifer, a Central Illinois native, embarked on a new chapter in 2019 when she relocated to Arizona alongside her husband, Justin, and their children. With a passion for healthcare, Jen began her journey as a Registered Nurse in 2007. She honed her skills in a Level I trauma center, serving as a Charge Nurse, Trauma Nurse, Preceptor, and Assistant Manager of the Emergency Department, where she gained invaluable experience in critical care settings.

In 2015, Jen furthered her education and became a Nurse Practitioner, expanding her scope of practice and ability to provide comprehensive care. She joined a family practice office in Illinois, where she dedicated herself to meeting the healthcare needs of individuals and families. After moving to Arizona, Jen continued her professional journey by working in an onsite health center, focusing on providing employee-based healthcare in Chandler.

Jen’s educational background reflects her commitment to excellence. She attended OSF St. Francis Medical Center College of Nursing, pursuing both her graduate and undergraduate programs. As a testament to her expertise and dedication, she is board certified as a family nurse practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She has extensive experience in critical care, family practice, and employee-based healthcare,

Jen brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role. Her compassionate approach, coupled with her commitment to ongoing education and professional development, allows her to deliver personalized and quality care to her patients.

Justin Smith

Justin, a native of central Illinois, made the move to Arizona in 2019. With over 20 years of experience in fire and EMS, he has a strong background in both field work and hospital-based Level I Trauma Centers. Justin has also served on deployments for natural disasters, showcasing his commitment to helping communities in times of need.

In addition to his extensive experience in emergency services, Justin has spent over 6 years in Law Enforcement, previously working as a Sheriff’s Deputy in Illinois. His dedication to public safety extends beyond his roles in the field, as he has also served as an educator for more than a decade. With expertise as a lead instructor, TCCC instructor, and preceptor, Justin has contributed to the training and development of future healthcare professionals.

Justin’s personal life is equally fulfilling, as he has been happily married to his wife, Jen, since 2007. Together, they have been blessed with four children, adding joy and love to their family dynamic. With a diverse range of experiences and a passion for both emergency services and education, Justin brings a wealth of knowledge and a compassionate approach to his work.

Matt Hains
Board Member

Matt Hains

Matt Haines was born and raised in Central Illinois but currently resides in East Texas with his wife and two young children. By trade, Matt is an IT Manager at a regional credit union and has been in the IT industry for over 15 years. Matt is an active volunteer in the worship and production ministries at his church and loves to serve the Kingdom in any way possible. He is honored and excited to serve on the board for Healing Hands and looks forward to the growth and development of this ministry to serve those in need.

Curt Calvert

Curt is originally from Illinois and relocated to the Valley in 2007. Like many others, he moved to Arizona to escape the frigid Chicago winters, full of sub-zero temps and lake effect snow. He and his wife Nicole have 5 children together. Curt is a proud United States Army Veteran and Small Business Owner. Most importantly, Curt and his wife aspire to be humble servants of the Lord. They have served on mission trips to Belize, Mexico, The Philippines, Florida, Texas, Missouri, California, and more while partnering with phenomenal organizations like “Samaritans Purse”, “Paladin Sports Outreach”, “My Fathers House”, “Compassion Queen Creek”, “Feed My Starving Children” and so many more.

Chad Roche
Chad Roche, MA, MBA

Chad Roche

Chad was born in Michigan but had the opportunity as a military brat to grow up and graduate High School in Germany. After High School, he briefly attended Ferris State University before withdrawing and joining the US Navy. In 2000, he met his wife Jill and they have been married since. After separating from the Navy in 2001, they moved to Arizona where they raised their 10 kids.

He served as an associate pastor at Lifepoint Church for many years before working full-time as a High School teacher at a private Christian school. Prior to teaching, he worked in many areas of management including government, non-profit, and private organizations.

He implemented the first-ever LEAN program in Pinal County government and led the same initiative with the AZ Department of Veterans’ Services. Educationally, he earned his BA Organizational Management and his MBA (Marketing) from Ashford University in Clinton, IA, his MA in Theological Studies from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA, and is currently working toward his PhD at Liberty University. He also holds certifications in LEAN, Public Management, Court Management, and Human Resources.

Kelsey Regan

Kelsey is a devoted Jesus follower, missionary, wife of 12 years and mother of 4. After spending 15 years in and out of the medical field in jobs ranging from administration and management to clinical patient care, the Lord put a calling on her heart to homeschool their children and create space and time for mission work. Kelsey currently works from home full time as a title specialist which enables her to spend more time in the mission field. Her mission work starts at home educating her children and discipling them to know and love our Lord with all of their heart, gifts and talents. Kelsey also serves regularly within the youth ministries at her church, as well as in Mexico alongside My360 project- a ministry devoted to putting shoes on all children.
